Morgen Commander
A Second Life viewer that doesn't show you Second Life.
No 3D world, no camera, no lag. Just your whole inventory in two side-by-side panels, the way Norton Commander did it, driven from the keyboard. Find things, sort them, clean up years of shopping, hand things between your alts. And when you want to be in-world, chat, IM, teleport and answer your offers without a graphical viewer.

Huge inventories, fast
Tens of thousands of folders open in seconds, and only what changed is fetched at login. It's all kept on your computer, so you can browse and search even while logged out.
Cleaning up
Find duplicates, file things by rule ("every landmark in Process Me goes to Landmarks"), bulk rename, and undo. Reports show what's taking up space and who made it.
Two avatars at once
Put one alt in each panel and log both in. F5 gives things from one to the other, straight into the folder you have open.
Present, without the weight
Your avatar appears dressed, as your usual viewer left it. You get an IRC-style chat window, IMs, groups, notices, teleports, friends, profiles and L$.
Safe by default
Nothing is ever purged: delete means Trash. Changes made while you're logged out wait for your OK, and if something changed elsewhere in the meantime, you get to decide.
RLV, if you want it
Let your HUDs and relays drive an alt: tow it along with you, and restrict it, like an RLV viewer. It's off unless you switch it on for that avatar.
Windows
Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. The installer needs no admin rights and adds a Start-menu entry.
Installer (.exe) Portable (.zip)macOS

Once installed, Morgen Commander checks for new versions itself and updates in one click. It isn't signed with a paid developer certificate, so Windows or macOS may warn you the first time. On Windows choose More info → Run anyway; on a Mac, right-click the app and choose Open. All releases and checksums.
Found a bug?
In Morgen Commander, choose Options → Report a problem…. It opens your email app with a message to bugs@morgencommander.com that already says which version and system you have. Add what you did and what happened; a screenshot helps.
If it crashed
Morgen Commander keeps a crash log. Please attach it:
Windows: %LOCALAPPDATA%\MorgenCommander\crash.log
macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/MorgenCommander/crash.log
Linux: ~/.local/share/MorgenCommander/crash.log
